Are you satisfied with his comments on the officiating? The point that I key in on is "the final score is the final score". While I admit I would cheer loudly if he had blasted the officials, I realize that ultimately it would accomplish nothing. Here are his comments from today. What do you think?
Re: Happy with Coach Miles' reaction? Yes, because the only people he has to answer to and give support to is his team. His concern is making sure they understand and can move on beyond this loss. The call was the call, and no matter what the score is the same. Him criticizing the refs in the media won't accomplish anything to motivate his team to finish out this season strong. His letting his team know that he and they really know the score and using that to motivate them to crush our remaining competition, that is his biggest concern. He said it best at the end of the game, "explaining to his team and his player, who believes in his heart he made the play, that is the hardest thing to do". Not exact, but close.
Sounds like a pretty smart guy to me. I think he is smart enough to know where public opinion stands on this issue. Articles popped up within hours of the game. He does not really have to say anything. Added to that, the score might not have changed. But that is not justification for this call, or the dozens of other bad calls/nocalls in this or other games this year. The really funny thing is that bama fans seem to have just as big a problem with the officials, in general. This firestorm may force some improvement for the entire SEC. Think Miles will get credit??opcorn:
at first i wanted to see miles "let 'er rip". but after thinking about it and thinking about him possibly being suspended, i decided maybe that wasnt a good idea. and now that the media seems to be all over it more, it might have just looked lile he was a whiner. better to let others put heat on slive.
No sh!tty players with the need to cover up for makes his comments that of a head coach who would rather play around the abilities of his players then the play call from some sh!tty officials. Pissing and moaning won't change a thing for the loss. I will wait for his dissatisfaction to come a calling 6 November 2010. Hope to see you all there. :tigereye:
well, he said he was satisfied with the SEC's response to him sending in the tapes. We don't know what the SEC's response is just yet. so I don't know how I want to vote just yet
Re: Happy with Coach Miles' reaction? This is right on the money. And I'd like to add, Miles understands there are more games to play. Next year will be another year. He took the high road, and I'm glad he's our coach. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
Re: Happy with Coach Miles' reaction? Yes because the Media is doing enough bitching for us. Even a small Dallas Radio did a segment on it.
Re: Happy with Coach Miles' reaction? Les is being paid to win football games, not make fickle fans fantasies come true.
