Yea but remember, Everyone wanted to hang Saban after the lost to UAB. But what happen? The next week we beat Tennessee in overtime, and we haven't look back since. That win over Tenn was a defining moment for the LSU program. There are always a game you can pinpoint the beginning of the rise or fall of a program. The win over Tenn after the UAB debacle was what I call the beginning of the rise of LSU. I just hope we don't see the game that can be the pinpoint to the fall of LSU
Tech hasn't worn a solid color all season. All they have worn so far is white. Remains to be seen what color their "away" uni's are. I don't care what color we're wearing as long as we play well.
We have a much better team now. But we had a much better QB (Davey--after he was put in for Booty) than we have now. The rest of that 2000 game is pretty much a blur, as I was deeply mired down in the throes of nausea with my first pregnancy.
Good call kerly, I've been screaming the same thing ever since. Very few people mention that game when speaking of some of the great games in LSU history. A loss to UAB after two losing seasons has the feel of "here we go again". The week after UAB was very bad, everyone calling for Saban and Booty's head!!! Then a top ten team comes to town, Tiger Stadium is rocking and the goalposts come down after a win in OT!! Definitely the start of something bigger.
Hey, I got an idea, lets bring back the Dinardo gold uniforms with the white helmets. Let's also have Georgia Tech wear their gold uniforms and see what happens?:grin:
