THAT'S why you're always defending yourself here... NOW I GET IT!!!!!! :hihi: But - why isn't your tag BradyFan??????? Is it already taken?????
Considering how much publicity these kids are getting, how much a lot of them enjoy their "15 seconds," can you honestly assume they don't want to see their name and people talking about them on the 'net? I've seen at least a dozen or so interviews this year alone where prospects say they look at message forums. Heck, who was it that made a big deal about playing for the Red Sox a few years ago because of the responses he read on one of their message forums. I can't speak for this site, but I know of a lot players who spend time on message forums...parents also. The problem arises when a coach or coaching staff starts spending time on message forums and letting that sway their thoughts, actions and opinions. That to, I've witnessed. Heck, in an interview published this week Coach O made the comment he follows rankings...you think he just looks at where Ole Miss is rated and can refrain from clicking that link labeled "football?"
High school players and family read and post on HS boards. Why should they quit once recruiting starts.
yeah... they look around the sites... most of the time, it is just to get a kick out of what people are saying about them... but LSU's fan support was a factor in RP's decision... he said he could tell our fans "cared more"
"I knew people were going to say things about me when I decided not to sign and I read some of the things people were saying about me on the message boards, but that doesn't bother me. No one can really understand what it is to go through something like this until they've been through it." - Keiland William http://www.theadvertiser.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060204/SPORTS/602040344
