Are the Wheels Falling Off the 2008-2009 Season?

Next year will be tough for 2 reasons: We lose a ton of starters to graduation/NFL draft, and our schedule.

Even if we only win 8 games next year, it's not like it is the end of the world. The talent will develop & we'll be on top again in 09. We've recruited very well.

As for coaches leaving, everybody was worried about Saban leaving & we see how that turned out. There's no sense in worrying about Miles leaving. He most likely won't even be offered the Michigan job & wouldn't leave for anywhere else. Pelini is a good DC, but Miles has shown he'll go for & get the best so I have confidence that Pelini's replacement (should he leave) will also be excellent.

Man I'm a glass half empty person but I in no way see the wheels falling off anything except Perrilloux's money train. Without RP we are thin depth and experience wise at QB but the hat :miles: will go out and get the guys we need. The program is in great shape and we are loaded with talent. Odom and RP's future are beginning to look bleak however. Look for the both of them washing dishes at a restaurant near you in the near future, if they aren't wearing prison orange. So sad to see talent and big money potential flushed down the toilet at such a young age, but it's not the first time it's happened. I hope both of them turn it around, but I'm not holding my breath and if Miles :miles: has any sense he isn't either.

Also, even if the wheels were coming off... None of that matters. The only thing LSU can control in any of that is whether they beat Bama or not. Then Sunday, they can focus on LA Tech. But until then.. no RP.. no Odom.. No Varsity.. only BAMA. :tigereye: :wave:

 

We will not contend for a national championship next year, we'll be too young. That said, I don't think the wheels will fall off either. Maybe 3 losses, or 4. Bout like Fla. this season. Then we'll get better, like Fla. next season.

 

I think rp should be gone.,,We don't need another Ciecel the Diesel!...Lee is gonna be gooooooood!
