Yeah but he clearly said it wasn't to provoke anything, regardless there's nothing wrong with looking ahead to next year. It's a valid discussion especially in light of what happened last week.

I'm not a big expert on the team but it seems to me that Jarrett Lee might see some playing time next year and the year after. I don't know how good Andrew Hatch is at throwing the ball seeing as I've never heard of him before this year. We won't be rebuilding, only reloading. Lee was a highly rated QB. This definitely puts a damper on the expectations the next 2 years with RP expected at QB.

At least we still have our stable of running backs, without them we would be toast. I think we can still make a BCS game next year and we'll get to see our coaches earn their money with the players we have next year. By no means do we go from the most talented team in CFB to the gutter, we are still up there.

The answer here is no. We have had top level recruiting classes the last several years. Those players are being coached and developed just like the ones we are getting ready to lose were a few years ago. I would have some concern is CLM leaves but I honestly believe he will stay right now.

I'm more worried about the defense than if RP is going to be here or not.

Not trying to downplay the importance of Flynn and Doucet. But That is what scares me the most.

while we may not have the depth in some positions we thought we had, others will just have to step up, and i think they will. we may not be able to take any hits due to injury, but we will cross that bridge if we come to it.

This title is melodramatic. I think we all share the concerns, and the current events are making matter worse. But exclaiming the "wheels are falling off" is only building up the anxiety.

Take some deep breaths and count to 10. Tiger stadium will still be there tomorrow.

This is college football. Players graduate and new ones take over. It's hardly unique.

Before you run around telling members how to title their threads, I'd suggest you put one under your user name- maybe, like "Contributor".

I thought it was a fair question since it looks like there's a possibility we have a QB with no experience and it's not the 5th year Sr. situation. I understand what you mean but it's not a "One year at a time", in reality- recruiting is non-stop just as looking ahead to who will be on our roster is open to projections.

I was thinking the same thing and wondering how, assuming the worst and the writing seems to be on the wall, this would impact our program, long term.

Caj is a cool dude and a good poster. I think that all points raised and valid and will need to be addressed at some point. Never too early to start thinking about the future. Especially since none of us here dress for the team on Saturdays. :geaux:
