    just looked it up.

he catches the Baton Rouge affiliates of FOX and CBS, so he'll get whichever game they are carrying.
Seems like those affiliates would carry the Saints games though.
Unless those stations pick up whichever game the networks deem their "premium game" for the week.

Example: if FOX has rights to the Saints game, and Fox tabs a game between Philly and Dallas as its premium game for the same time slot, he may be stuck with Eagles/Cowboys on his local channel.

However, since Baton Rouge is considered a "secondary market" for the Saints, he can probably still watch them on Sunday Ticket.

anyone here with DirecTV living in Baton Rouge that has had a Saints game NOT televised this season?

It won't be blacked out so much as it is not offered on any fox affiliate.

NFL ticket is one thing and I understand that making sense but it's a little ridiculous that the only way I can see the game this week is to by and install a satellite dish and change my television provider from Suddenlink to DirectTV or Dish Network. More than likely, I will find an illegal stream on the internet.

IF you have digital cable from a cable (or dish) company that offers NFL Network on a different (more expensive) package from what you currently have, you can order that package for the weekend and cancel it on Monday, they do have prorated prices so it wouldn't really cost all that much.

If you are like me and don't have any sort of digital cable, (but not like me and don't have a friend next door with a 42" HDTV and NFL Network :) ) then you can either go out to watch the game or try channelsurfing.net, but bewarned, I tried that for the Indy/Jax game last night and it was a little odd b/c sometimes it was showing live game footage and sometimes it was in studio analysis.

While I'm not sure about the Katrina year of 2005, no Saints game has been blacked out due not being a sellout since the 2006 season.

I find it hard to believe the Fox station in BR would not air them every single week. They showed the Saints even during the Ditka years.

Maybe he didn't realize that several of our games have started at 3:00 this year.

Ok I just stumbled on this and now I am worried I won't even be able to watch the game here in Baton Rouge with NFL Network.

Can anyone make any sense of this: Is this related to Cox Cable?

Don't bother hoping for NFL Network Ventura County Star

if you catch NFL Network, you will catch the game.

this article is about cable carriers that do not even offer NFL network.
those people won't be able to see the game.

I'm on TWC. They don't carry it. The problem is NFL Network wants their programing on a lower tier so that the masses will have to pay for it. TWC contends that it would add too much to everyone's cable bill. TWC wants to put it on an upper tier package. NFLN said no. TWC countered w/ doing NFLN as a pay per view, again NFLN said no. NFLN loves these type games b/c it gets the cable customers all pissed at their cable provider. NFLN is the one playing hardball though. They said take it on a lower tier on not at all. They will not negotiate beyond that.

So, I will be at Buffalo Wild Wings. ugh!
