You can put anything you want into a contract but if you go overboard on restricting somebody's freedom of movement it will be impossible to get the good ones to sign it. Would you sign a contract that forbid you from taking another job with a million dollar raise?
It would depend on the staff. I have left for more money only to be miserable with the people I worked with. Now in Aranda's case he would be getting an upgrade in that department. Jimbo is more seasoned as a head coach so I don’t blame him. My beef is that Joe not only didn’t get it right the first time, he absolutely bombed in every facet of the process! My thought would be the guy is going to get a head coaching gig sooner than later or a run in the NFL as a DC so another lateral move? Why not just wait?
