Couldn't agree more. I purposely don't go to the "free speech" forum b/c it would be endless debate about shit your never going to change anyone's mind about. In my mind it comes down to empathy and being humanistic. While I am a conservative minded person who lives "conservatively", I care about others well being and don't mind helping physically, financially, socially, etc. If you have that mindset, that you care and want to help, i.e. have empathy for others, then you are by definition a "liberal" and basically are the enemy. I have been registered republican since college, yet the last 10 years, I find myself voting much more Democrat because I came from nothing, and don't mind helping others, which seems the opposite message of Repub's.
Which is weird, since Christians are considered conservative Republicans. But are the ones to shit on that mindset.
Yep, I've noticed that, too. That can also be somewhat racial, as well as class disparities, but individually, it often isn't intentional.
A major concern is the ability of the government to effectively provide these services and people’s reliance on big brother rather than trying to resolve things among neighbors. It takes more humility to ask a neighbor for help than it does big brother.
