You’re wrong. Saban would’ve left any college job for the NFL at the time because he thought that was the pinnacle of a football coach’s career. He realized that it’s a different game in the pro’s and came back to college. Has absolutely nothing to do with where he thought LSU was heading. If he would’ve stayed we’d have 5 or more NC’s by now.

He said leaving LSU was a mistake.

I’d be willing to venture a guess it was only because he failed in Miami.

I guess I will never understand the hate for Nick Saban. It was known he would bolt for the NFL while he was our head coach. He did that. The LSU job was not open when he returned to the college ranks. Does it blow ass that he went to Alabama? Yes. Hating the man because he is a good coach seems silly to me but whatever.

Aranda now makes more money than 80 of the 130 fbs HEAD coaches.

which is protective, b/c there are now only a few schools who would approach him for a HC position. If Oeaux is as bad as you think he is, Aranda may be LSUs next HC. Only a top program could afford to lure him away now, and with all of the changes in HCs this past season, hopefully, we are safe for at least 2 years when CEOs current contract runs out.

You might want to do some research about Bertman. and back off on the scotch, its making your panties twist.

Where did you read that I think this program can do no wrong (maybe you should slow down and read my posts more clearly)? In fact I have been very critical of this program for not firing miles when they should have. I have simply voicing patience for a guy who has just been hired and yea for the first time in several years have a strong SEC record and another new years bowl. Those are the facts.

Where was I lacking in manners? You are the one who just called me a "sack of shit". Very classy.

I think alleva and fking are tools and they need to be gone.

    Minor de-rail.

A year after graduation, my old defensive line coach got the head coaching job at a high school in same conference. The local paper ran a story with the following headline:

    PATTON GETS HEAD JOB

Carried that paper around for years til it finally disintegrated.

Now back to the main topic.

You don’t find any of this amusing? All the talk at the end of 2015 about money and how we can’t spend that much money on a coach, but we can put a 12 mil buyout on O and consider dropping 3 mil on Canada by firing him because O doesn’t like him, and then pay our DC more than 80 fbs head coaches. It just seems like a gigantic trainwreck to me administratively.
