Fair enough. How so? It's been reported Rhule was one of the top 10 paid coaches in the country. Exact figures are hard to come by as it's a private university. But they're paying big time money. Feldman and Mandel talked about it on a recent Audible.
Yup, that's how it goes. Saban complains about this all the time. Clemson goes through it, any good team ever goes through this. It is just more magnified for the champions.
I don't believe promoting within will help as much as LSU would need it to. And I hope that does not become the only option.
Dunno how to embed tweets on my phone.. https://twitter.com/joelklatt/status/1212022599196102656?s=19 Quick thoughts/info on Matt Rhule 1) salary is currently in top 6 in CFB 2) buyout is north of $10 M 3) he likes Baylor and enjoys raising his young family there Doesn’t mean he won’t leave, but he is not going to jump at average opportunities (Public salary not accurate) ‐---------- Also this... https://twitter.com/Shane_Magness91/status/1214614097603497986?s=19 @GabeIkard As a non profit, Baylor has to release certain financial information every year in a Form 990. This includes highest paid employees and their salary. This is a snapshot of Baylor's 990 for the period from 06/01/17 - 05/31/18. Rhule made 7.2 million that fiscal year https://t.co/NBFwkqMMIB
Don't need it, what I need is some fucking loyalty. I can't be happy for dickhead Dave because he made a stupid fucking decision. Watch, he will flop like a fish out of water
Knew it ... Busch going with him as I predicted Saturday Night before the game Cregg will also likely leave and so will Mr 450k wutzhisname Scott Woodward needs to be beaten across Baton Rouge ... drug behind a p/u truck and disemboweled hanging upside down from a Death Valley Goal Post
Those numbers aren't accurate. According to Bruce Feldman recently Lynn Swan gave out CRAZY bad fully guaranteed contracts at USC even to assistant's. According to Bruce the total buyout would have cost USC 50 million dollars to jettison Helton which is why he is still coach there. USC like Baylor is a private university so the exact salaries are always disputed and tough to find. I'll ride with Klatt, Bruce Feldman, and Stewart Mandel on the kind of money Baylor pays.
