Aranda as DC the last 3 seasons (a look inside the numbers)

    Looking at the numbers specifically for 2015 where we see the tackles for loss and turnovers at a fairly mediocre level, it tells me that he wasn't gifted with special players on defense who are game changers, but instead the defense is predicated on fundamentals and scheme that gets beyond the problem of lack of elite athleticism. It will be exciting to see what he can do with a bunch and 4 and 5 star elite athletes on defense.

    There was an article recently about Rashan Gary and his mom, and his mom was talking about coaches and who she knew and whatnot. She said she knew coach Steele but never really even had a conversation with him. I thought he was supposed to be some bad ass recruiter.

    Point is we wasted a year that jackass as our DC. Should have been Aranda from the jump.

    Admittedly, I don't know much about him. Everyone says it's a great hire and I have no reason to doubt that. What I do know is that Wisconsin lost 59-0 to the Suckeyes in the Big10 championship game last year. I didn't watch it, so I'm not sure if the offense turned the ball over and/or had alot of 3/outs and wore down or what. I know one game does not define the legacy of a coach, but it was a pretty big game to have suffered the worst loss in school history.

    When LSU hired Saban, the only thing I knew about him was that just fired Dinardo had beat him 45-26 in the Indy Bowl.
