one thing you guys need to realize is we were so close to being where we as fans want the hogs to be, we don't hate CLM we are just envious of the success that LSU has had, telling our fans to stick our fingers up our butts, and to eff off, doesn't show much sportmanship for your fans, i am not here to start a fight or anything like that, but we are a proud fan base, we only have the razorbacks, we have been so bad for so long and only want to have the success that LSU has had, when LSU came out and put a thumping on a game we thought we had a chance to at least keep it close, it hurt a little not to mention having the death of a player 4 days earlier, it kind of felt like a dagger being twisted into an already open wound. i hope i offend no one.
You're okay in my book. I've also always liked Arkansas's program/fans. I'm not one to truly "hate" but don't think I'll ever be able to get on board with your coach. Sure I don't have to list reasons. Suffice it to say I put a lot of stock in loyalty and trust with people that are important to me.
Classy, respectful, honest post. I have no problem with it. I understand the hog faithful better than most, having lived in this area for a while now. The Arkansas fanbase wants their team to be relevant. They want to win a championship. So far, their existence in the SEC has yielded close to zero results. A couple of western division titles, but no trophies. I understand that a kid dying can have a dramatic effect on the team, school, fanbase, and community. Here's my problem. Before the LSU/Arky game, almost every single hog fan that I know personally (which is quite a few), or ones that I've recently come across, have blatantly been condescending, arrogant, and shown a total lack of respect to me, MY FAMILY ("that's gotta be your phucking kid wearing purple huh?"), and the entire tiger nation. For a fanbase that has really not experienced any success at all in the BCS era, they certainly talk a whole lot of sh*t. I don't mind people running their mouths, as I've had to take it ever since I moved here, but when someone mentions MY SON, that person deserves to have the sh*t slapped out of them, right then and there, but it is what it is, and I refuse to be incarcerated because of some idiot. I think Arkansas fans hate LSU because they want to be LSU. They've had some luck beating us in recent years, so I think that maybe made the fanbase a little over-confident. So much for that. Arkansas as a football program, their two biggest problems go hand in hand. Georgaphical location and recruiting. Hardly anyone who doesn't grow up to be a hog fan wants to live in Fayetteville, AR. This is the cause of the talent gap. Look at their roster and see how many of those kids are actually from the state of Arkansas. How is their recruiting going to fare once Mizzou and A&M also join the same recruiting grounds? Petrino will find it that much harder to haul in those players. Arkansas fans can defend the man all they want, but Petrino is nothing more than a mercenary, a hired gun. He doesn't give a sh*t about the university or the fans. Sure, he's donated $$$. Big deal, every college coach does that. Defend him, NOBODY wants to remember how he left Louisville and Atlanta. EVERYONE who has ever played for him in the past has absolutely zero good things to say about him. As they say, history repeats itself and when the going gets tough, he'll leave that program high and dry. That is WHO he is. Les Miles knows where home is. He's turned down his alma mater TWICE. He's faced a ton of adversity ever since he was hired. Baton Rouge is his and his family's home. This man is at the top of his game. People across the country may not like him and irdgaf what they like. The man wins ball games.
I understand what you're saying, hog. We don't feel we get media respect because of their love affair with saban and bama. I can see how hog fans feel that they don't get respect because of bama and lsu are getting so much attention. Realize this though, when the media has talked about the sec this season, they do say lsu, Alabama AND Arkansas. You play in a tough neighborhood. You would be big east champions every year. Arkansas is in the top ten percent of college football. You have had some really chitty fans come on our board and talk smack. They call us inbred swamp people and stupid etc... We have called you hillbilly trailer trash and that you sleep with farm animals and your sisters. You can go brush your tooth etc... Really, this is the dirty stereotypes we both deal with. The coastal idiots really believe this chit. Shows like swamp people don't help us at all here in la. Both lsu and arky will always have to deal with the media love of bama. Au really has to deal with it at home and nationally. All arky has to do is win. Winning solves everything. Recruits will come if you win. Arky will have mizzou and a&m stomping on your recruiting area. Just win aginst them and all will work out. You are a good poster and good luck to your hogs. Next year you need to tighten the f up and beat bama.

I'm on board with you tiga, I've always liked Arkansas BUT of course LSU is first, I have a few friends that are Arkansas fans. I like their helmets a lot but I can't see myself rooting for them until their coach is gone. I tried to say it was the heat of the moment but I don't think he has apologized for doing that on national tv. What about all the young kids watching? Anyone who acts like that but runs up on the score on Miss St. and Tennessee the week before is an Ass. Sorry the last part wasn't planned but it is what it is.
