Let's assume everyone else wins out from here on. LSU #1 Oregon will have quality wins against Stanford and USC, only loss to #1. They would have played in and won the PAC 12 CG, being conference champs. Bama will have quality wins against Arky...and MAYBE PSU...but that's not real quality. Finishes the season with 1-AA GSouthern and Auburn. Wouldn't even play in the SECCG. Oklahoma has an overall better resume, but has the bad loss to TT. Beating FSU on the road equals Bama's win over PSU on the road, and they will have beaten KSU, Okie Lite, and a few other ranked teams from the Big 12. They will be Big 12 champs. Clemson and VT are too far back assuming everyone wins out. *If Okie Lite beats the crap outta OU, they stand a better shot than Clemson or VT, and quite frankly, have a better resume than Bama. The best thing on Bama's resume is a close loss to LSU at their house. Seriously.
Got one game before Ark right ? Ole Miss will not play dead count on it or bet on it Later OH me I was good wrong . The Tigers came too play GEAUX TIGERS
Why are y'all all afraid of playing Alabama again? I wish to see the two best teams play "for all the marbles" and to me it's LSU and Alabama. I don't care if we played them before. If they are the best (and we all believe that LSU is the best) than so freakin' be it. Same with Oregon. If they are considered by the rest to be the best then bring it. I don't see Alabama losing to anyone but LSU. That's conjecture and speculation on my part but I'd bet plenty of coin on that statement and I'll bet the bookies in Las Vegas would agree. You guys are funny. :hihi:
Why should Alabama get a rematch that makes them the champion if they win? They didn't even win their division or conference. So they would be champions with a 12-1 record and a loss to us when we have a 13-1 record and a loss to them? If we can't play for the best of three, then I don't want to play a team that we've already beaten at their own stadium.
My only bone of contention with it is this: They would essentially be rewarded for LOSING to LSU at home, and LSU punished for WINNING on the road at Bama, in that LSU will have to play yet another highly ranked team in the SECCG to EARN it's way into the BCSNCG, while Bama sits at home and watches, gathering more film on LSU. That isn't right.
..and that's the right case to be made and I believe that's what will happen. If we win out we will be the SEC champs, we have beaten the likely PAC 12 champs, the BIG 10 is irrelevant, so who's left? The BIG 12 champs. That is who we should play assuming we win out.
Looks now like a rematch with Bama is even more probable. However there are some big games coming up for both teams to rematch up in a match up Oregon is gon,ok is done for. Right now it should be 1,2,3 lsu Bama arky
I still don't see or understand the "anti-Tide" sentiment. I always want to take a shot at the best and we both are arguably the best so let's go. I thought we were outplayed in game one. Yet we still won: the missed FGs, two INTs and a decent running game in the 4th Qtr made just enough difference. We didn't pas very well - Alabama DBs are as good as ours (and bigger). They will be prepared for the read option but will they be prepared for a JJ that can throw from that play? And we know what JL can do if u provide him some protection and the running game is on. I desire a rematch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The way the other teams have lost and the rising of Arky in the rankings has just upped the ante. Lose to Arky and not only are we out, but we may be out of a BCS bowl too. LSU vs Arky game just became the next "Game of the Year."
