Well you better remove the noseplugs in that case. These are the same people who were clamoring for Perrilloux to start after Flynn had bad games in '07, when he was getting trashed here and on sports talk radio. A sizable part of the fan base now wants Shep to come in and handle the full load, so don't hand me that racism crap.
I'll stand up for any of those athletes on the field wearing purple and gold that play their hearts out to entertain a bunch of fans that are under the impression that since they pay for their tickets that they own a piece of the team. Teams have off seasons, off weeks, and sometimes off years. If you've been attending LSU games since '58 you should be well aware of that. As for the racism remark, I think you're WAY off base. I shouldn't even dignify it with a response, but since I already have, I'll add that I've met a lot of the regular posters here and I can assure you that your detectors are wrong. You should get that looked at.
I was one of 'em! I wanted to see if he had improved, get him some more game experience, etc. I didn't think he should supplant Jordan before...and now I know! I wish him all the best, if he does decide to transfer, though. Not that I am an advocate of it.
I as a fan have the right to decide who i like and dislike. I along with many people, feel as though Lee would be better served transferring somewhere else where playing time would be immense. If i feel like i think he should transfer, then i'll voice my opinion. If you feel like he should be kept voice yours, but I'm not going to tear you down because you feel like Lee should stay. I would expect the same in return for holding firm to my belief that he should go. If he were to transfer the boo's would dissappear and Lee wouldn't be in the middle of some tiger fans' ridicule. I don't boo an LSU player, and i certaintly don't boo lee for trying his heart out. The kid has a lot of heart to be able to get knocked down and keep coming back for more, but having heart with continuous horrendus performances will eventually get you booed. Check out a lot of pro teams. The boobirds humm real early, but not here because most of us as tiger fans, myself included, don't boo a tiger no matter who.
no need to boo a kid. he doesnt deserve that. it never helps the player "play" any better. but no need for this post either, he wont read it. You posted this to voice your opinion, not apologize to Lee. Just say that, instead of all the drama.
the same way you think you know who everyone that was at the game was directing their booing towards.
Your booing. Why dont you keep your dollars and stay home. I'm pretty damn sure the football team would rather j*ackasses stay home, rather than show up and boo 19 year old kids just because they think the piddling amount of dollars they paid to buy tickets entitles them to behave like asses. Great to know "fans" like you have their backs...
