if thats the case he should just drop spring fball and enter the mlb draft after the season (before the fball season). you dont want to enter the mlb draft as a sr anyway.
I agree that Black certainly didnt belong on the first team. Its difficult to argue LaFell, its a close call though. As for Jones I totally disagree with him being first team. Honestly Im surprised he is second team. I think Peterson should have been first team. There is no doubt there. Sheppard should have been second team. Shepard should have been up for FR of the year but we know about that.
My wife's hairdresser has another client who lives next door to a political activist who heard Chad Jones was signing up for a year in the Peace Corps..
I agree with most here that Black had an off year. That one surprised me. Our other players deserved what they got. There were inconsistencies on their part that should keep them off the first team. And as much as I love Peterson and think he is a stud, there were plenty of games that he got burned because of mental lapses and broken coverage. It's gonna happen. 9 times out 10 his gambling works out, but occasionally QBs bluff him and burn him. I think that is what kept him off the first team.
Peterson was an absolute shut down corner, then the Alabama game happened, he was still a shut down guy, then he got the cramps, and after that game he wasn't the same Patrick Peterson. I never saw him get burned except once by AJ Green, but the pass was way over both of their heads, but he definitely blew a few coverages against Ole Miss and Arkansas, and really didn't look like he wanted to be there vs. La Tech. I still have a big problem with Kelvin Sheppard not being on that list.
I don't think LaFell should have been on there at all... basically 2-3 drop passes a game in the second half of the season. I thought Tolliver had a solid season and I wouldn't have minded seeing Nevis named somewhere. Black should not have been on the list and Sheppard at LB could have been on there.
