No it didn't. Ted Ginn got hurt celebrating the kickoff return against UF. Beanie Wells is who hit LSU early, and Craig Steltz is the one that got hurt in the end zone. Ted Ginn was already gone in 2007 from tOSU...just like Troy Smith.
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/bowls06/columns/story?columnist=feldman_bruce&id=2724951 But see, the stupid media thinks a fast WR is the answer to Florida's supposed speed advantage. They didn't get it then, and they don't get it now. And that was Bruce Feldman, who's one of the better ones.
Yep. Troy Smith was being interviewed on the sideline with Jamarcus Russell, who btw, was wearing that horrible burlap shirt from the 60's. 'Fashion Police'
fine with me. it's never about who the best team is in this poll, it's about who they think will be there at the end of the season.
Ahem. When the SEC goes to 16 teams, I see North Carolina State and Virginia Tech in our future. The geography and the demographics make them a fit.
Red, In now way was I making any kind of statement regarding race. My apologies to anyone if they interpreted that way.
Going back to 06 it's pretty much a coin toss. I included 05 just to show the last time USC won two in a row as Oregon did in 2009 and 2010. 2005 L 2006 L 2007 W 2008 L 2009 W 2010 W 2011 L
I was suggesting a correlation between geography and demographics. It's no secret that the SEC sits in the most fertile recruiting area in the country. African-American athletes and Confederate-American fan bases have proven to be a potent formula for SEC success.
Listening to all this "SEC fatigue" talk as to why the best conference in the known universe won't be represented in the title game is more super silliness. As long as there are TVs to watch, the eye test will keep repeating the same ole story. I'm not worried. The remote control never lies.
