I am not sure what he did wrong, but after one failed 3rd down play Kelly got in Nuss’s face and was livid. But you are correct, he is making better decisions.
I would like to see Kelley/Dembrock script at least 1 series each half for Nuss (irregardless of the score). We need to get him ready because the more Daniels runs, the greater the chance of him getting injured. It would give our opponent's defense something else to think about.
JD has been playing football a while, it’s unlikely he’s going to ever get it. If BK refuses to play Nussmeyer, I hope they coach around JD. I am buying BK stock, I think we send a message this weekend with a W. I expect the crowd will be in it, too.
I'm with you on the BK stock. I think we're lucky to have him and I hope he stays a long time. As for JD, he has been playing for a long time, but playing against SEC competition is a different animal and throw on top of that learning a new system with a lot of new players. A prime example is why so many young players in the NFL never make it because it's a different game in terms of overall talent and speed of the game.
I agree that's he's not NFL material, but he's the best we got at this point. I thought Nuss would be ready, but he's still so reckless with the ball and that's not a good combination with this young group still trying to find itself.
My bet is BK will correct our QB weaknesses through the portal if Nuss doesnt "get it" and or if Howard doesn't pan out. Encouraged by Nuss's play last weekend though. He still has a lot to prove however.
