what's the injury? advocate hinted at it being serious without saying a damn thing about it. the guy's a big time player, hope it's really nothing.
Actually, the Advocate hinted that several starters had serious injuries without saying anything. I think it's the paper's effort to force Les to give 'em more info on injuries. Perhaps, the writer thinks if he can get the fans worked up about injuries, Les will have to be more forthcoming. Just a guess, tho.
2theadvocate.com | LSU Sports | Key veterans still sitting out with injuries — Baton Rouge, LA I don't see where they indicated Dickson's injury was serious.
Hearing now he tweaked a hammy. Still waiting on the explanation of how the advocate hinted that the injury was "serious". opcorn: Please don't post sensationalism without any link to back it up.
ok mr. hyper-sensitive forum boy. i'm not posting sensationalism, i'm trying to find out what the injury is. they give no info so it's all in the words they chose to use such as dickson's absence due to injury is a 'big concern for the lsu coaches'. if that's all they give you, what are you supposed to think?
If anybody's doing sensationalizing, it's the Advocate. They have no direct knowledge of any specific injury and haven't cited any sources. If they did they would've reported it by now. All they have to go by is that Dickson missed practice yesterday. Without any direct knowledge of Dickson's situation I'd be very critical of what I'm reading, especially with subjective statements like "the biggest concerns for the LSU coaches have to be the missing-in-action veterans, particularly Dickson and Cutrera." For all we or the Advocate knows Dickson got a hangail and Cutrera's been out with swine flu.
i agree - the advocate knows nothing about this injury situation and they are speculating that it's the coaches' "biggest conern." this is just piss-poor journalism. i understand it's hard to write a story with little to no access to the team but they shouldn't be filling space with speculations on injuries.
