This is the first game that Mett has had trouble with accuracy. It's not the first game that the WR's dropped a lot of passes and the OL was getting trucked by TOWNSEN!!!!!!
Mett has happy feet and is very uncomfortable in the backfield. I'm not so sure Mett isn't a big reason for most of the sacks.
A swinging gate at least gets in the way until you push it. It looks like LSU linemen are diving out of the way at the snap of the ball. The mighty Townson DL slapped them around most of the night.
Just heard on the post game, Jim Hawthorne said Les Miles said he wasn't happy with his defense, and was critical of the defense. This pisses me off, when is he going to wake the fuck up and realize it's the offenses fault for putting LSU's defense in these piss poor situations.
I didn't see that. I see Mettenberger stumbling around the backfield losing composure at the first hint of pressure.
Watch the replay tomorrow, the OL got their asses handed to them. Couldn't open a hole for the running game and Mett got pressured a lot. He absolutely shits his pants under any pressure.
I think the D was daring us to pass. Its a good tactic going against a Les Miles team. If you are one dimensional, you aint sheet.
