If he can play safety, he should've been in. But instead, he's a RB...and that wasn't our problem...at all. And yes. He played in the second half. Had a couple nice runs...the best one destroyed by yet another OL penalty. THAT was our problem...or at least one of them. - Stevan Ridley just polished off a 1,000+ yd season. No reason to replace him with Ford. Now, replace the OC and throw Ford in the Wildcat at QB? That's more like it. Or Ware, who can actually run the Wildcat. Or anything different than what Crowton comes up with.
And by the way...LSU had exactly 100 yds rushing...Ridley with 75. I know JJ had quite a few. Murphy had a couple. Can't see where Ford was "kicking butt" in the first half. Sounds like some just like to gripe.
I didn't see much of Ford in the 2nd half, BUT... I did see our kick returner get us to midfield. We ran 8 plays, got 20 whole yards and made a long FG. (21-17) Then, we had the ball 1st and goal at the 8. We kicked another FG. (21-20) We intercepted a pass and took it near midfield. I think we punted that time. I tell ya something else I saw... Our QB held the ball until the count of 10 Mississippi ....several times. Maybe he was looking for Ford, too.
