I was at a friend's house over the weekend and they had NFL Network. Their Total Access show had a bunch of minicamp stuff which totally got me ready for football season! They had clips of Russell, Quinn, etc. Is that network worth calling the cable company and complaining for?
Those games would be 10 times better if they got rid of Bryant Gumbel. The guy just can't announce a football game to save his life. As for everything else, it is definitely the best. You really get some honest analysis from their crew, as opposed to ESPN, who will pick a team and stick with it all year whether they do great or suck (a la Sean Salisbury and the Panthers last year). Also, their draft coverage was a helluva lot better than ESPN's. ESPN pretty much quit after the 2nd round and kept talking about the same stories, while the NFL Network continued to analyze the picks as they occurred even into the 7th round.
Cox told me they will have it in BR in time for football season. I am still keeping my fingers crossed.
DirecTV has both the NFL Network AND Sunday Ticket. Both ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. To be denied either OR shudder the thought BOTH would be a real buzzkill.... Now we need a college football network to REALLY sweeten the pot.... :thumb:
Speaking of a college football network, I was listening to a show on the radio that said ESPN will be starting a pure college football show called College Football Live and it will air each night of the week. Not a network but I am down for whatever allows me to watch more college football. I like the format of NFL Live and this will be the same. It might run for an hour though instead of half an hour.
