I couldn't help myself and got a few just in case. Hedging my bets I guess.

I noticed you can get dibz on Georgia for $80, Florida for $134, but LSU started at $145. Wonder if the folks know something the pollsters don't?

Just sounds like a lot of money to waste... Especially given the long odds of any particular team making it to the game on a given year.

Did anyone on this board use a system like this last year? Can anyone vouch for their integrity?

I think quite a few did use it, and it's been around for a few years now. It's a gamble to be sure. Those LSU dibz were not worth didly after the ARK game last year but whoever held on to theirs sure made out nicely.

How does FirstDibz.com work? You pay that $145 for each ticket or does that guarantee you a spot to buy the tickets? If LSU doesn't go then you get your money back or what? I am lost on what this website is for lol.

No, it does not guarantee a ticket. It does give you the right to purchase a ticket, if your team makes it to the game. As the season goes forward, if LSU continues to win, the bid price will go higher. At any point before the end of the season(SECCG) you can offer to sale your "dibz" and make a profit if it is higher than you already paid. I don't remember the cost of the BCS tickets last year($250 I think), but if you have a dibz reservation, you pay the dibz fee, + the cost of the ticket. Also, if your team does not goto the BCSCG, you lose the money on your dibz.

It works out to be much cheaper if you get a cheap dibz and your team makes it. BCS tickets go for thousands of dollars. Quite a gamble, but LSU has as good a chance as any other 5 teams.

Also there is another thing to keep in mind. You can by stock in any team. So you can still get tickets to the NC if you buy stock in a likely opponet when their stock is cheaper than say USC or OU.

Not sure on the actual prices for stock in Mizzou but they could be a good option if you are banking that they defeat OU in the Big12 Championship.

If they make it and you do not want to see Mizzou vs some other team besides LSU you can sell them on ebay for 5X the amount and pay your round trip and expenses to see LSU in their bowl.
