I guess McKnight had to show back up on these boards today since he was the main topic last year's NSD. Was thinking earlier how disappointed I was that day. Now I hope he stays at usc. We will get Lacy and/or Ford next year.
I've been reading that its homesickness and a general dislike of USC... maybe he thought he could go hollywood and figured out that he just a good ol' louisiana boy...
I will always be disappointed he didn't come here. Not saying that I'm not happy with the guys we have/did get, but he was a special talent right near Baton Rouge... guys like him don't come from Louisiana every year. We'll have many talented players in the next few years I'm sure, but losing McKnight still hurt. I don't wish him any ill will though, I hope he does well until he plays LSU and ends up with negative yardage
This just in. Adrian Peterson and Eli Manning have petitioned the NCAA for restoration of one year of eligibility. 6th grade fantasy league owners confirm both will then transfer to LSU.
I hope Mcknight gets caught breaking into the LSU National Championship Merchandise store and is sentenced to Angola for the remainder of his college eligibility. And Reggie Bush is caught in the Getaway car and sentenced as well. And for the record i hope the USC chess team loses every match they play too.
While I may not be quite as bitter as Calico, I do have to say winning the NC this year was a little sweeter knowing the JM had to be saying "damn". If we could win another one or even two would make it all the better. To have USC strapped with some sort of sanctions for their "violations" would be icing on the cake but I know it won't happen because they are the darlings of the NCAA. Yeah JM is good, but he made his choice and now he has to live with it. I don't wish him ill will, however I see not a damn thing wrong with making absolutely sure he knows he made the wrong choice.
To be honest, Mcknight would prob. be alright at USC as far as his future career is concerned. He had no obligation to stay in Louisiania. I guess for LSU fans, his departure left a bad taste, maybe partly due to his HS coach.
If McKnight had come to LSU and started, then Williams, Murphy, and Scott ( who waited for their turn) would be transferring right now. If he came and got in line behind Murphy, he would be just a frustrated as he would be behind four backs at USC and he would transfer. We're better off without McKnight. Next year is when we need to sign a Parade All-American running back.
