Weather.com is forecasting an 80% chance of rain tomorrow with 1/2" - 1" possible and a 40% chance tomorrow night. I know we are WAAAAY more talented than Washington but weather is the ultimate equalizer and it could limit what our offense is able to do. We may be in for a steady diet of C. Scott if those conditions hold. Don't get me wrong I'm not worried about the game, I just don't want the weather to be a factor. I don't know about ya'll, but I am anxious as hell to see how Crowton is going to use all of our weapons and I was hoping to see it tomorrow night. I hope the stupid rain doesn't ruin that. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!
Good. And it isn't "We" that may be in for it, it is they.:thumb: - Seriously, I was at the LSU/Fresno St. game in...whenever that was...and at the MSU game in '07. Both of these games were LSU blowouts...in the rain.
eh, i'd rather the conditions be perfect. but as long as the game isn't cancelled i don't really care too much.
I would be more worried about the night time temp WITH the rain..then just the rain itself.....could see some costly iinjuries
Don't know about the weather or the game plan, but with the horses we have we should be able to run well whether the track is wet or dry. Go Tigers - Go Charles Scott - ldskule:
(Les Miles) on prepping for potential rain this weekend as well as a late kickoff… “We use wet ball pretty routinely, and the good news is that we have an outdoor turf now, and we’re outside in heavy rain. As long as it’s not lightning, we’re outside, so we’re getting wet ball opportunities. I know it’s supposed to rain or may rain on game day there, but that would not be something we’re not used to. We’ll be prepared for that. With the travel, we’ve consulted with several of what we consider sleep experts, and I’ve traveled to the west coast several times myself. We feel like we have a very solid plan to get our guys rest and allow them to be in position to play four quarters of quality football.” :thumb::milesmic:
Don't get overly concerned about the weather. Even if it rains it's usually more of a drizzle type thing, not a steady downpour this time of the year. The temp will be in the mid 60's which is perfect for football. The wind shouldn't be a factor either. I've been in Louisiana in September and the humidity is more of a factor than a little bit of NW rain will be. Your players should enjoy the break from playing in sauna-like conditions. The sun will just be starting to set at gametime so there won't be any shadows either, something that is a factor during day games. The field turf in the stadium is brand new so footing shouldn't be an issue with the right type of footwear. Get ready for a beautiful setting for a college football game. They have a siren they fire off when they come out of the tunnel and every time they score. It's a pretty cool tradition if I do say so myself. I know you've played in front of bigger crowds, but Husky Stadium full of rabid fans is a memory not soon to be forgotten by those that get to attend. The place does get noisy. It's just like any other place though. Get ahead, take the fans out of it and you will be sharing the place with hundreds of seagulls by the middle of the fourth quarter. Take care of the ball and there's no way they hang with you for a full game. There's just not enough talent for them to do that. I hope they give you a game because I'd like to see them upgrade their program and put your team to the test. I want to see just how good LSU is. I don't want to see anything resembling last nights BSU / Oregon game where both teams pretty much sucked, if you hear what I'm saying. A perfect Saturday for me will be a Coug victory followed by an LSU thumping of the mutts. Please make it 15 in a row for them. Their fans are insufferable. I come on here to not only root you on, but to irritate them to no end as well. Take care. I'll be back tomorrow night to see how y'all are doing (did I do that right?). Maybe after the football season we can all talk hoops. Looking forward to playing y'all this season. But that's getting a bit ahead of myself. I'm looking forward to surprising the college football world with a Coug victory over Stanford tomorrow. The announcement at Husky Stadium will definitely put them in a somber mood. Geaux Cougs!!! Geaux Tigers!!!
hurts UW more imo. LSU should be able to run the ball with little to no resistance. The team who needs the passing attack most tomorrow is UW.
