Wrong grasshopper. That is usually the case when a line moves that way but it was the opposite here. When Vegas sets a line their best case scenario is to get equal money on each side. When they "know" what will happen and they see the betting public loading up on a dog that has fleas they will continue to push the number that way in hopes of enticing more money on the losing side. It is rare but it does happen as you just witnessed. Trust me my man, I've been in this game for quite a while. I'm not driving a Bentley but I rarely pay my book. :thumb:
You ever play craps? You know all that fancy junk in the middle of the table real close to where that guy with the stick keeps all the chips. They put it there because he doesn't have that far to reach when he grabs it and adds it to the house count. A parlay is the same thing. Flashy flashy, bling bling big pay out. Its a sucker bet. If you have 20 or 30 bucks and you just want to have fun then fine, no big deal. Hell I spend 3x that on chicken wings and beer. Find you a FEW games you like, do a little homework, and bet them all straight for the same amount. Not as fun as hitting a 3 teamer at 6/1 but you don't have to wait till next year before you collect $$
I have always wanted to learn while working at the casino I would always stay around the table to try and pick up on the game...its the only game where the odds are in your favor to take the house. Hey 2 weeks ago I had the Jets and Giants in a $20 dollar parlay and it paid more then just betting $10 on each. And had I stuck to my rule of never betting the same team on 2 bets I would have made back the $300 I lost on UDub cause after I picked ULM and Troy it was between Udub and Iowa.
Me and another poster here (wont say his name) agreed to bet a couple of college games each week. I havent heard anything from him yet.
Was it me? I have a terrible case of CRS so it very well could have been. If so lets get it on. If not and the other guy has a case of vaginitis then I'll take his place:thumb:
