On a postiive note, at least it was not a home game. The stadium would have been empty, and Auburn would probably have taken a dump on the Eye of the Tiger.
Feeling a little apathy. Is that the same as calm? I guess rebuilding should be expected, but it sure seems like our competitors don't drop off this.
I don't know what to think. Recruiting seems to be chugging along. We haven't had a great deal of coaching turnover - this is essentially the same staff as several years ago when we had a damn strong football team. The players are young but even so that's no explanation for the dropoff in performance we are seeing. We're not just bad in one area but bad as a whole. I can't explain it. I don't know what is going on. This team is regressing, badly. There's only one thing I do know. I'm an LSU fan and always will be an LSU fan. I endured the dark years of the late 80's and 90's and supported the Tigers all the way. I'm still behind this team. I still support them. I'll still be cheering them on every Saturday. This is my team, through the good times and the bad. I believe we have some unbelievable talent and some players that are leaving it all out on the field. At the end of the day, I want them to know that I am still behind them come what may. If that makes me a sunshine pumper then so be it. Frankly I don't care about the coaches right now. I want these players to know we've got their backs.
I'm talking about getting skull drug in two straight SEC games. What other "elite" competitor does that? With an amazing offense last year our defense was a sieve. More of the same this year, with a matching offense. We're having to look into the future for our next shot. Not feeling real elite. Feeling like Fulmur's UT.
I took 3 Xanax and smoked 4 bowls before kickoff. That's the way it's done this year boys. No bad feelings at all.
What I wanna know if why Mettenberger didn't get the opportunity that Harris and Jennings have gotten when he was sitting behind JJ and Lee. Should have just played him from the jump. Can we please go out and recruit a pocket passing quarterback. Harris couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat last night.
