In HS at B-ball practices we would shot halfcourt shots all the time during breaks and at PE. We would compete with each other while timed. The ones who took a few steps or a hop step always tired out and missed short. The trick is to shot it like a regular shot and not lean into it.

I shoot it the same way I did when I was five, two handed - leaning into it. In high school I had a normal jumper but couldn't break my half court habit, because all we would do when I was younger was bet on that shot.

I was sort of kidding in my previous post, but it seriously is weak. I bet I could make 7 or 8. Tell me where to meet cp3 and Ill destroy him. And tell him to meet me outside of New Orleans because I actually want some fans to see me demolish him. ;)

go to the gym and try...

    I guarantee you don't make 7-8.

just shooting 3's for 1-minute straight is hard enough.

think about what we're used to.

we're used to shooting a half-court shot, then running to go get the ball, then going back and shooting again.

just that sequence takes 35-40 secs, allowing your arms and abs to rest.

shooting 1 after the other, jumping up and down 20-25 shots in a minute is hard, especially when you shooting that far away.

i guarantee you i can. i dont have a lot to hang my head on in life, but god blessed me with the half court shot. i would dominate him. i made 34/50 (probabaly normally around 15/50) in high school, and i am pretty sure i was still drunk from a formal the night before. its easy for me, i dont jump or use any energy, as i explained in my previous post.

kind of like the globetrotter that can make the hook shot from the side of halfcourt everytime but not really do anything else...yeah, thats me.

dont rain on my parade clair. im not good at anything else in life. :hihi:
