Vandy won't be going to Music City, but I am sure they don't want Kentucky for the third straight year either. That causes a dilemma. I don't know if it is possible for them to pass on an SEC team if there is one available (sending Vandy to Independence).

Nashville probably won't want Vandy for the same reason the Sugar always hated hosting LSU. They may have to deal with it, though.

This is not true at all....Music City would drool over the chance of having Vanderbilt. Local school = lots of fans = big $.

I am in full agreement that there is no way that Vandy is taken ahead of LSU. The losses today by USC, Vandy, and Kentucky will place LSU in either the Chick-fil-A or the Outback Bowls. Without a doubt, LSU will be taken ahead of those three! Go Tigers! :helmet:

I think it's a bit late for me so I'm a little confused. But could someone just throw out some possible teams we could face in the bowl game?

If you go to the Outback Bowl- Most Likely Northwestern if Ohio State is chosen over Boise State for an at-large BCS bid. If not, Michigan State.

If you go to the Liberty Bowl- the winner of the CUSA Championship game (Tulsa v. East Carolina)

If you go to the Chick-fil-a Bowl (unlikely, IMO)- you would most likely face Georgia Tech (most likely...local fan base = lots $) or the loser of the ACC Championship Game (Virginia Tech v. Boston College).

My guess (if tOSU gets BCS bid):

    Fla, Bama BCS

Georgia 9-3 CapOne vs. Michigan State
    Miss 8-4 Cotton vs TT
So Car 7-5 Outback vs Iowa
    LSU 7-5 Peach vs GT
Vandy 6-6 Liberty or Music City
Kentucky 6-6 Liberty or Music City

If tOSU does not get the bid, they will go to the CapOne, bumping MSU to the Outback, and Iowa to the Alamo. No way does the Outback take Northwestern over Iowa, nor would the Alamo take NW over Iowa. NW will fall all the way to the Champs if tOSU goes to the CapOne.

Btw, PSUlions, the bowls can pick any Big Ten team as long as the team they pick is one loss/win behind another Big Ten team. Two years ago, Iowa was 6-6 and was picked over two higher teams for the Alamo to play 10-2 Texas, the year before, we were picked over Michigan to play in the OutBack. Nobody wants Northwestern in a New year's bowl. They have no fans... they're like Vandy in drawing power.

An Iowa/LSU OutBack would be nice... a game of who has the worse qb.

Ga. Tech? Bad match-up with our linebackers.
