Why would anybody start a total rookie with all his rookie mistakes in front of him at this point in the year? We need to keep training up the guys that we're playing. They have the talent, they just don't know shit. That is coachable. They have upside. They don't want to be embarrassed like that again. At least some of the rookie mistakes are behind them.

OK, I missed on Sandolph; thought I had seen him out there this season. Then again, you are arguing against a "rookie" versus the likes of Loston and Eugene. These two are both veterans with extensive playing time, yet continue to make rookie mistakes. If the argument is their mistakes can be coached away, I'll counter with, why haven't they been coached away already? Maybe they are as good as they are going to get, which ain't very good. How many times have we been burned deep, just in the last two games? Throw, the new guy in there; if he gets burned, at least he has an excuse.

I'll add to the point. Maybe its not coaching, maybe its complacency. Mark Ingram, New Orleans Saints, has had a mostly unsatisfactory career. His best play came in a 4-game stretch last year when the team started giving Chris Ivory some of his carries. Maybe Loston just needs a fire lit under his ass ("Hey, we expect big things from a 5th year senior. We can throw an untested redshirt freshman out there and get the same production we're getting from you now.")

Before the start of the season, Loston was to be the highest rated LSU Sr in the NFL draft, hes taken a hit so far. He still has time to recover. I remember last year people complaining about Eric Reid........man I miss that guy.

Everyone was down on Reid because he wasn't performing like the All SEC safety and potential All American he had already shown himself to be. Loston is a 5th year senior who has never lived up to his 5-star high school ranking.

Many last year were talking about how bad Reid was playing. Man we could use his bad play this year

Even if Loston has proven more in practice to be the better fit, sometimes you just have to give someone the opportunity. Sometimes sitting some asses and replacing them could give a spark to the new player or the player being sat. Either way Loston, Barrow, and Rasco havent done squat all year.
