Like what shceme change? Even when blitzing today no one got near the QB. The DBs couldn't cover their azz with a king size blanket and the LBs look lost in space. These are young inexperienced guys that just don't get it yet. By the time they realize what's happening the play is over or well past them. Young guys sit stuck in mud thinking while experienced players react. Experience makes the game slow down, scheme does not. In the SEC there is no time for remedial classes, it's sink or swim. This week it was sink. The Defense will be frustrating to watch this year. The offense is a thing of beauty. If those last two statements don't make you dizzy you haven't been watching LSU football the last 5 years.
While I agree with that statement for the most part, he is getting paid a lot of money to "make it work".
I can't "hate" on Chavis either, but that doesn't mean that I can't lay a loss on his shoulders every now and then. His unit simply did not come to play against UGA for the most part. Do I think Chavis needs to be canned? Hell no! But I think he needs to feel the heat for losses like yesterday.
Chavis certainly doesnt need to be canned but the UGA, Clemson, and Bama losses all fall on his shoulders. He should be held accountable and has to step it up. UGA certainly has one of the best Os in the country but still. LSU doesnt have a good D. Plain and simple we cant cover or tackle. We dont have playmakers at any level. The schemes and communication have to improve.
Has Jefferson played yet? I see Thompson out there making plays, and yes, he should be starting. Haven't noticed Jefferson.
Jefferson only played in the uab and Kent st. games. Thompson missed the first game with an injury, has been in every game since then.
FWIW, this is the starting 11 I would send out vs the Cowbells: DE: Danielle Hunter DT: Quentin Thomas DT: Ego Ferguson DE: Jordan Allen Sam: Kwon Alexander Mike: Kendall Beckwith Will: Deion Jones (#18 jersey be damned, Barrow is not making plays) CB: Jalen Mills CB: Tre White SS: Corey Thompson FS: Jerq Sandolph
