I love the fake FB handoff to scott and then the toss to williams. One of my favorite plays when they are both in the backfield.

Yes, and Chuck the Truck looks more like Chuck the sedan so far this season. I'm wondering if losing weight had caused him to lose that power he had last season. I know it probably does a little, but he looks like a shadow of what he was last year. I hope he gets better.

KW on the other hand has me confused. Thus far in his career, he has been incredibly inconsistent, but he's looked good so far. I don't think Vandy is that good nor do I think UW is either, so I don't think we'll know much for sure until the UGA game.

Now this has been a funny thread. It would appear that some of you have some memory issues, or just started watching LSU. In comparison to his hype and potential as one of the best backs of his class, KW has been a HUGE disappointment. He has always had all the tools, but has spent more time running indecisively or just right into the back of an OLineman. He had trouble with holding on to the ball(mainly in practice), and he went down often after first contact. This has gone on for 3 full years.

Don't bother posting his ypc to dispute this. That merely averages out his(rare) long runs. Go back and WATCH the games, don't just read the stats. Last year as Scott got worn down, KW stepped it up and started running harder. This year he appears to have made some real improvement with his vision and decision making. Since his running ability has never been in question, I am VERY happy for him.

But I wouldn't kick Scott to the curb just yet. Scott's effectiveness "up the middle" will be determined by how well the middle of the NEW Line does, and the replacement for Quinn Johnson(remember him?). Ramming the ball down someone's throat in the 4th quarter is a commidity we don't ever need to lose.

That being said, Scott is more than willing to play tailback, fullback, or wherever the coaches want him. He and KW are great friends, have both paid their dues, and they both deserve the support of the fans. It will be great to watch both of these kids have a banner year.

Dude - you're like totally missing the point. KW has been held down by the man. Those stats reflect the coaches' incompetence at divining talent. ;). Or something.

All I'm saying is that THIS YEAR, KW seems to be more effective. I know KW has been extremely inconsistent in the past, and I know CS has been solid for us, but - SO FAR THIS YEAR - KW has been more impressive.

Being a KW fan is not a knock on CS or vis-versa. RB is not like QB where you want one guy to be the man. You go with what works. Miles has always said he "goes to the guy with the hot hand."

CS was the most productive back coming off last season. So he got the majority of the carries coming into this year. He has struggled some.

KW got limited carries against UW but looked pretty good. Result - he got more touches against Vandy. After playing well against Vandy, I have no doubt he will see even more PT going forward.

But that doesn't mean we give up on Scott for the season. There will always be need for CS type of power running so that will never go away. His bread and butter is getting past the o-line with a head of stream and streaking down field. Once he gets rolling he is a beast to bring down. However, our o-line is not opening the holes that allow him to do that right now. He does not have the vision and start stop quickness, that KW has, to cut those runs outside. That is why he has been less affective. (effective?)

It appears that CS as lead blocker for KW has been our most productive running attack this year. I suspect we will see more of that.

Maybe KW's due. I've liked him his whole career at LSU, but Saturday night was different. He was shifty. He lowered his head when he had to. He looked hungry. Scott's problem was the holes that were open for him last year are gone this year, so far.

You know, I could be wrong, but "senior year" for anyone means this is my last shot to kick ass for everyone that come to see us play because I have to get a job after this year is over.

I guess what I'm saying is "senior year" is different from any other. This is your absolute last chance to show out. Your last chance to show the NFL scouts what you can do to upgrade your draft status, if any.
