Like I am. Scott up the middle for 1 yard and a could of dust has worn out it's welcome with me. I think Scott can be effective but lining up in ovbious running formations with a young QB that opposing defenses don't think will throw the ball is just not working out. 2nd and 3rd and longs are the result and we can't win against the elite of this conference that way. KW looks really really good (just as he always has his entire career at LSU). Hopefully the coaching staff (er, Les Miles) finally give him his due. He's never complained once. He's a great kid. And he affords LSU the best opportunity to succeed on offense at the running back position.
Tirk, I know how you feel about KW, but you must admit that he had a good game last night. And he's been most effective on the option pitch thus far this season.
Do I want to throw Scott under the bus because Williams had a good game? No. Keiland is a talented back and I hope he gets a ton of carries, but he's had four years to take the job away from Scott and he hasn't done it. We're going to have a two-back offense this year and I think that's great.
The days of Scott pounding it up the guy died the last half of last season when teams decided that we never pass the ball out of that formation. If KW gets 60 percent of the rushing attempts, I'd be happy. Scott can get the other 30-40 %.
of course. hes comfortable on the outside. like reggie bush. he had some good runs inside for once but no way do i think he will keep that mindset. as i said, i think its impossible to teach or acquire. that will be scotts job again after the next week or two. kw will be the finesse guy. yep and yep.
