i don't feel used by miles. anyone who knew anything about him knew he'd leave for michigan if given the chance. this shouldn't be anything shocking. he's going home.

I disagree, they could've at least waited until the regular season was over as well as the SECCG, that would've gave respect to the LSU players, fans and the university instead of working out their own little deals ahead of time.
Yes, I know he is a UM man, I have no trouble with him going but the timing is bad.
If this LSU team doesn't play well or loses today Miles and his staff won't be able to leave Louisiana fast enough!
As good as I felt about most of the season, it has imploded with recent developments since the Arkansas game.:dis:

Agree 100%, except that the implosion started long before the Arky game. It started once the coach speak began and the UM rumors really heated up. We were bound to lose focus after that, and the Arky game just happened to be the first shoe to drop (after it almost dropped in Bama).

If only Saban had stayed with the Phins one more year...

Hopefully by the end of next week we will know who our new coach will be and who will be coaching our bowl game. When the last second ticks off the clock of our last game of the season we will look back and be amazed what this team has been through. Not as much as Katrina but much more then any other Tiger team outside of 2 years ago. I'm proud of the players. They are the ones who have committed to LSU and play the game. They will always have a special place in my heart. This is a team for the ages in LSU football history. :geauxtige

I have to disagree. Saban will be at Alabama as long as he wants. If Miles choses to remain at LSU he will be here for a long time. I think we need to look for a coach that has no desire to move to the NFL, and who has no long-held dream of coaching at another school. Rich Rodriguez or Spurrier would be good choices (but Spurrier's age might be a problem). I am getting sick of these coaches that see LSU as nothing more than a stepping stone. I think we are an elite program that deserves better.

letting all this news leak and getting deals done is not the coach's fault. it's the nature of the business. we're not the 1st team this has happened to and we won't be the last.

do you really fault miles for the leaking of the news?

rich rodriguez is HOME at west virginia. saban is at alabama long term b/c he f-ed it up and left for the NFL. spurrier has 5-8 years left in the tank before he hits the links full time.

WOW! You give him THAT long?!?

The man dislikes recruiting and I think he MIGHT have 3 seasons left before he just retires.
