I didn't know that KMOX wasn't doing that. As for ticket prices, I don't know if they will come down or not, I know they were talking about it on the radio and said STL tickets were in the top 10 for highest prices, somewhere around 6 if I'm not mistaken. I know Yankee tickets were cheaper. Anyway, I don't know how much Mulder really has left and it scares me that they will count on him with his history with injuries. I heard an interview with the GM a couple weeks ago and he pretty much didn't even mention this year at all. Everything was geared to what they want to do in 09.

So, management is resigned to a rebuilding/retooling year. Well, I guess it beats the alternative...(Houston) :insane:

You really think Ankiel is going to do anything? Ever since the steroid story came out, he went down the tubes (as did the entire team for that matter).

And do you guys hold out any hope for Mulder to be even effective enough to hold on as a 5th starter, much less a #2 starter?

Wainwright definitely looked like he turned it completely around in the 2nd half of the season. That guy is legit.

Too bad for Carpenter. I hate seeing great talent not being able to see the field due to injury. Looked like he got over the injury bug there for awhile and then it came back.

It really is too bad for Carpenter. He and Mulder are big question marks in my mind. I really don't have high hopes for Mulder stepping back in there being the pitcher he's been in the past. I hope I'm wrong!

I think Ankiel will be fine. He's been through a ton in his career so far, and I think he's turned a corner. The team was killed by injuries last season, but they actually finished pretty strong. If they can get some production out of the guys hitting around Pujols, and of course, get that rotation sorted out, they should be fine.
