The Cards have some minor league roots in New Orleans, so I'm just curious to see if there are any other generational fans out there such as myself.

Im a St Louis Cardinal freak....been following them since the 85 series vs KC. Itching to make it to their new stadium. Plan on it this summer.

Vince Coleman was my favorite player growing up.

Big Cardnial fan, stationed about an hour away from Stl and the new stadium is beautiful. Very expensive though guess they have to pay for it somehow. Sad to say but don't expect much out of them this year. They have done nothing to beef up their pitching staff and my prediction is, it will come back to bite them in the arse.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to making it to the new park, too. Last time I was at Busch they were actually working on the new stadium just outside of right field.

Yeah, Vince was always one of my favorites, too. Man, I was so excited when Willie McGee made his return to the Redbirds... remember that? What was it, '96 or so? Nice to see him finish his career as a Cardinal.

Now, Fishhead, as far as the Scrubs go... j/k:hihi:

lucky man, shane! I've often daydreamed of living close enough to StL so that I could catch a majority of the games. I did see online where the ticket prices had gone up a lot. That's too bad, but like you said, it's the cost of having a nice new facility. You think the ticket prices will ever drop in the forseeable future?

Huge fan here. Like was said before, don't expect big things this year, but Colby Rasmus should be coming up mid season, as should Carpenter late season. If all works out, 2009 is looking pretty sweet with Carpenter, Mulder, Wainwright, Looper, and (insert 5th starter here).
I'm sad to see Edmonds go, but that just opens a spot so we can find out how Ankiel can handle playing everyday along with Duncan. Runs shouldn't be hard to come by if we get a competent lead off hitter.

I'm from Mo. Don't follow baseball like I used to, but I still always keep a Cards hat to wear. My family all lives up that way still.

I got to go to the last Cards/Cubs series at Old Bush and watch from a Center field Box suite. It was really cool. Also the new stadium was already built as far as it could go before tearing down the old one.

What do you think about bringing Jeff Weaver back for that 5th spot in the rotation? I read somewhere that the management isn't ruling it out.

Man, I hope Carpenter and Mulder can come back full strength and be a force again.

Oh, and what's the deal with KMOX 1120 AM not broadcasting the games anymore?!
