This is weak. The Pumpers INSISTED on bringing back the coach, and NOW they want him gone after the first game of the season? That's astounding. Doesn't matter, though. I don't think that Mr. King will allow a fire and hire after this season. We'll see.
More important question is, anyone the phone numbers of "these big dollar backers" that supposedly always want to make a change and then never do. Really guys $hit or get off the pot. Last year was your chance now you look like fools.
I was a sunshine pumper for many years, as I prefer to look at the positives in any situation. I like Miles, the man. And I did like Miles, the coach. However, after the November we had last year, I was ready for Miles to go; it was time. Being the optimist that I am, I hoped that avoiding (for the first time in forever) a mass exodus of draft-eligible juniors and hiring Aranda might (somehow) right the ship. Then, we were treated to that shit storm out there today. It felt, to me, like the 1989 season opener against Texas A & M where the Aggies returned the opening kickoff on LSU (who was ranked #5, I believe) and whipped our asses all over Kyle Field. Everyone I was watching that game with that evening felt it was the beginning of something bad, and it was. That's how today felt for me. It's been nice, Miles, but maybe it's time for you to spend (a lot) more time with your family.
