Players kicked off is never something you want to see, but with this being LSU's best year of recruiting ever in our history, it's coming at a great time.

There's nothing alarming about the rate.

Just because whatever Jones did didn't make the papers & isn't public knowledge doesn't mean it wasn't warranted.

As to the reasons, it is general policy in every university not to disclose the specific reasons for the dismissal. It is considered a privacy issue.

Privacy laws concerning university students are very strict. Legally, it's none of your business.

I would rather lose with class than win with problem children. I don't know what Jones did (so I don't want to label him) but I trust this coaching staff.

Every generation has their good and bad traits. This current generation was born at a great time for technology advances and seems to excel at creativity. They also have a problem with accountability probably due to the hollywood and music industry influence. In the real world you only get so many chances. The touchy, feely crap they try to push these days doesn't cut it.

If you work hard and obey the rules, life is good. LSU will survive without RP and JJ. It's sad to lose these guys but kudos to the coaching staff for not just building a team but also for trying to turn kids into men.

First of all, capitalization is your friend.:hihi: (Now I'll mispell seven words before I finish this:redface:)

Secondly, Miles is the HEAD COACH. There isn't a bigger pair of britches on the team.

Third, I don't think you'll find a single person on this forum that doesn't realize we may (very likely WILL) struggle without a tested quarterback. That's why everyone should be happy that we open the season the way we do. Many have pointed to the Auburn game as the telling game of the season...not only because the Auburn game is ALWAYS a big game, but because it is the first true test for whoever our inexperienced QB is. BUT, many of us also think that...in the grand scheme of things...kicking RP off the team will help in the long run. Besides, kicking RP off the team was unavoidable...and it was all on RP...not Miles. The fact that it took so long for him to dismiss RP should tell you that he's not trigger happy.:nope:

Disagree with this. Most programs would've kept him on. Hell, he probably wouldn't have even ever gotten suspended in most programs.

You can't have any bad apples (I don't know Jarvis), or anyone who breaks severe rules stay on the team. I know from personal experience with high school kids. It has nothing to do with Les being to big for his briches. You get rid of the players that mess up or you will have to much to deal with. I think that's one of the reasons Miami tanked. As far recruiting it is good b/c the players know that it doesn't matter how good you are, you're gone if you act up.
