What's your LB situation like next year? With Maualuga and Cushing staying for their senior years and Maiava, Matthews, and Brown, USC is stacked.

    We lose Highsmith and Sanders.

Beckwith returns and Cutrera, Perry Riley, Kelvin Shephard?? He could play.

Beckwith (Mike), Riley (Sam) and Sheppard (Will)

Cutrera backs up Beckwith at Mike (so we are solid there)

At this point, we have no backups at either Sam or Will, so anybody coming in at that position would see playing time immediately and have a decent shot at starting.

    2008 Recruits
Ryan Baker and Kyle Prater are OLBs, not sure where they fit better out of Sam and Will. They will probably be separated to provide adequate depth at both positions.

We need Arthur Brown pretty badly.

I think that's what all the recruiters are telling him. He's a great talent and has been very focused on the process. Can't wait to hear his decision.

yeah i am sure they do

but you would agree LSU is a much more appealing option over USC if he wants to see the field in his first year?

Actually, Cutrera will probably start at Mike next year and Beckwith will be moved to Sam. Either, Brown could start and would start over Cutrera.

If all the hype is true, then he will probably be our best LB after Beckwith next year and will definitely start right away. We really have no depth at LB after Giddens/Odom getting kicked out and underwhelming LB recruiting the past few years (and I believe none last year). Out of his final 5, I think us and UNC give him the best chance of playing early. Would obviously be huge for us.
