Any good places to watch the BCS in New Orleans?

    On Jan 9th, me and my wife are gonna do some things that a lot of people here probably will do: driving to New Orleans without holding a ticket :thumb: Therefore I would be grateful if any of you can provide me with some recommendations as to where to watch the BCS game in New Orleans. Some places like bars, restaurants or theaters, maybe? I am trying to stay away from the extremely crowded places like the Bourbon Street as my wife is currently pregnant, yet we still look forward to joining some real fans outside the stadium to enjoy the game and hopefully celebrate the victory in front of TV. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

    Jimmy Ott announced on his show that there will be a block party on Rampart street not far from the Dome. Tickets are $15 I think.

    Thanks for the prompt reply! I just searched for the block party, and it seemed like the party is scheduled on Jan 8th but the 9th, but thanks anyway! It might be a good place to geared up in advance.

    What kind of ambience are you looking for. Since your wife is pregnant I am thinking you want to stay away from smoking bars, right? Do you want food involved? Give me just a little more info and I'll send you a list. Happy New Year and Geaux Tigers!!!!

    THe Block party i on the 8th and at the same location they are having a pre game/viewing party on the 9th. Think it is 700 S Rampart. 3 blocks from the Dome.

    I haven't checked myself but I heard a poster a few weeks ago say he called the Dome and they said the game will not be shown there.
