Any chance Cliff Lee isn't the highest paid player in baseball next season?

I suspect we're talking 30-32 million per year range. About a million a start. Not bad. He actually deserves it. I can't believe I just said that, but it's true and undeniable.

    The Yankees will pay it.

They have to. He will bring MULTIPLE championships to New York. They don't have a stud post season pitcher still (Sabathia is junk). In fact, I can't see a time where the Yankees will make the playoffs and not win the World Series if this guy is healthy going into the post season. This guy is automatic.

Hopefully Cliff Lee stays put. Look for Nolan Ryan to dish it out also man. I have mad respect for Cliff Lee and I would hate to lose it all over him signing with the most evil, franchise of all time.

Did you hear Nolan last night when they asked him how much it would take to keep him in a Rangers uniform? His answer was "I don't know, go ask the Yankees". Freaking classic.

I love Nolan Ryan. Him owning the Rangers is the best thing that has happened to Dallas/Fort Worth since J.R. getting shot.

    No doubt LaSalle.

Nolan is, by far, my favorite player of all-time. I was an Astros fan when I was a kid, but then turned to the Rangers when the dip**** Stros traded him.

If Cliff Lee is smart he stays with the Rangers. They're a young club that can contend for quite a few years. Plus they're probably gonna move Holland to the rotation next year, so that would make Lee, Wilson, Lewis, Hunter, and Holland their starting 5. That's as good a staff as any in baseball. Plus their offense is as good as any also.

I know the Rangers can't offer what the Yanks and Red Sox will, but Lee will still be a very rich man if he stays. I hope he does.
