Kind of a weird situation. It depends on if Alabama wants him. They have a lot of interested prospects with a few on the fence a only a few spots, which makes things interesting. Bama told him thanks but no thanks a month ago but is now back recruiting him after they lost on OL prospect to UGA. During that time, McClain tried to commit to Bama a few times, but the extent of that strained relationship remains unknown. If not Bama, it seems as if we are tied with Auburn and Tennessee for his signature. Bama may actually help us in this, and I think we may have the edge.
I suspect he is going to be left out of our class. He's going to take the visits and make his decision towards NSD and I believe he won't have a spot at that time. I can see where the guy has his head..tried to commit twice and we slow played him. Now, back after him and he is wanting to make Bama wait. The class is at the point where they are going after the top players in a few positions without being locked into one player. Grades will make any any school do that.
