That was a point I made to my sons. At 17 with no training in that situation, he was toast. I wonder if the 17 yo has father, and if he discussed going out there with his son. because now his life is screwed either way this goes.
I see both sides. On the one hand, I'm a husband and father and my family needs me. On the other hand, if I knew Antifa was coming to my town to burn it to the ground, I think I'd want to be on the front lines to prevent that from happening. But it was no place for an armed 17 year old.
If I was a prosperous enough business owner I would hire a bunch of ex special forces mercenaries and be waiting for the first rioter who even looked like they were about to throw a brick is set a fire.
Yeah, he shouldn't have been there, but he's a 17 yr old male - crazy testosterone levels. I shake my head remembering some of the crazy stuff i did around that age. Lucky that was the only incident because there were many more young men out there similar to him. The local and state governments should of had that under control where regular citizens didn't feel compelled to defend their communities. But we all know, Nancy, Chuck, CNN, etc...wanted their burning American city video - especially during the RNC. So the local Dems half assed it. And people died.
Just saw a tweet that said the doctors were able to save the one guy's arm. And oh yes, that was a pistol in his hand. He aid he regrets not being able to kill that kid. Sounds like a righteous shoot to me. Still a 17 year old should not have been there and should have known not to get separated from the group.
