Hopefully it gets dismissed before going to trial, but that's unlikely. Best he can hope for is at least one sensible person votes not guilty and it's a hung jury. He did the world a favor. Good riddance.
The issue I believe is the first shooting. The one prior to the one where they are chasing him. If he shot the 1st guy he is in trouble
Agree. After the emotion dies and investigation ensues, the stuff on the chase - fall down - shoot will wash out. It’s what initiated the chase that is in all likelihood the issue/crime.
There is a clear video of the head shot victim chasing the kid and throwing things before he gets capped.
Was the bald sex offender the first or second one? If it was the first, are we sure it was even the kid that even shot him? I heard multiple gunshots in the video and you'd think a 5.56 would do ALOT more damage to the cretin's melon. Also, he didn't seem to die right away. But I haven't watch every video and am not sure about the sequence of events.
Maybe in you head what you thought and what you typed lined up, but it didn't come out that way. There were two chases. Bald guy chased kid attacking. Kid shoots him. Kid then leaves the scene and those 3 guys attack him and knock him down in which the kid shoots them. Self defense is self defense. It doesn't matter what started it as long as it was non-violent and you better believe if there was ANY evidence this kid was being violent BEFORE he fired it would be all over twitter.
So the video we see where the mob is chasing the kid who then falls and shoots two people is footage of the 2nd and 3rd of those shot. There was a person that was shot before that and I don't think there is footage. Apparently someone just shot one of the protesters. The narrative I heard was that the mob thought this kid is the one who shot the first guy but we don't know if that is so. The mob thought it was and the chase was on. We know how that ended. So the question is, will there be enough evidence to say that this kid fired the shot that struck victim #1 If so this gets really complicated. BUT if the mob was wrong and just started chasing this kid then I think he has a strong self defense case but I'm not a lawyer.
