When I post from my phone the words often get changed after I have written them. Still doesn't make jar roux right. Something about it is just wrong.
It was odd how an "international" source had strange details like the murder occurring at Legacy and Marchman and the burglary occurring on Michael Drive. Those mean something to me because those streets are around the corner from me. Kind of a weird detail to include in a UK article. I realize they are just reposting a local article, but still? My high schooler has a couple of her friends over tonight. They said they are going to the memorial run on Saturday morning. And the article, specific as it was, didn't actually clearly explain how close Micheal Drive is to the place where she was found...around 20 yards or so. Those houses that are next to the trail run around $1,000,000, too. The home invasion was very unusual, right along with the murder.
It really is an outrageous outlier of a crime here. Don't get me wrong...there have been a few absolutely heinous crimes here in the 24 years I've lived in Plano, but this one has scared people on a whole other level. It reminds all of us to be more cautious because it wouldn't surprise me if some people around here don't lock their doors at night. Most of the other notable crimes were cases where a person had a personal vendetta, like the dipshit in 2017 who murdered his ex-wife and 7 of their mutual friends at a Dallas Cowboys watching party. He was killed by the police, fortunately, but not soon enough, obviously.
