unless a player just doesnt like being in college and playing ball, i just dont get why theyd leave early if they know they arent ready. randolph should get an insurance policy and stay at LSU. much more fun that sitting on the bench with the prospects of never playing good ball in the USA ever again. plus you may get a degree.

he knows he has no shot a pt in the nba now. hes not like tt, glen and bass that were physically ready.

The NBA is an insurance policy...

You play for a few years, make several millions and can coast the rest of your life.

Now, how most athletes end up pissing it all away is a different story.

i dont think any of that explains it. with the scenario i spelled out, i think its just gotta be that they have no patience.

patience implies they are waiting on something. he has clearly stated he wants to go to the nba. why not go when the cash is there.

ive yet to meet a guy that wanted to go to school and will probably never find one that wanted to go when he didnt have to. especially when the opportunity cost of protecting numerous relatives and generations of family members exceeds going to geology 1001.

something tells me your plant didnt employ people that were so talented that working in that business was harder to do than win the lottery.

Steve Kerr was scouting Randolph at the game last night. My 2 brother-in-laws saw him and talked to him for a few minutes. Kerr asked them about his game and about his character.

Steve Kerr asking random joe-blow LSU fans their opinion of one of LSU's star players proves why the Suns are on the decline.

The "Big-Money" in the NBA is made in the SECOND contract.

Guys get a rookie deal 3-4 years and make 2-3 mill a year, some more some less.

The big money is made in the SECOND DEAL. That is when guys get the maximum deal (15-20 mill a year). That's why it's most important to come out when you're most ready, so you can peak at the end of that 3rd year and strike it rich.

If you come out and sit for 1-2 years, etc... you don't get the big money possibly ever. Especially if you're a big man.

Name me a big man who has been a force in the NBA that didn't dominant from the very beginning of his career, or at least show you signs that he was going to dominate.
