Actually it was Lynn Amadee the OC who also threw Howard under the bus at the post game pressed as I remember. Red you're right Curly was an excrable coach and human being.

No. I despise Kiffen and I'm delighted he is at Bama, stifled by Nicks gagging of assistant coaches. A day will come when you will wish him gone. It has happened everywhere he has gone, except when he bolts for self-serving reasons.

Considering your track record of forecasting things regarding Alabama these past 7-8 years...I'll wait and see.

He did a hell of a job last season. It may be difficult for you to admit, and I can understand that, but it certainly was the case.

Ya know red, it was about this time last year I kept pointing to what Kiffin had done with Johnathan Crompton at UT and cautioning people to not be so quick to judge what he can do. Hrrmmm. I'd bet my house NO ONE expected that kind of season out of Blake Sims last year. No. One. \

A dual threat QB out of high school who had good legs but a weak passing game...a guy who was playing running back just a couple of years ago...developed by a position coach. You can't tell me that's not something you would have loved to see last year. Truly, a great football story. (Crimson glasses firmly in place.)

whats this about all the assistants wanting kiffin out? they all got raises but him also which is in part due to USC still owing him money but still.

i dont expect an honest answer but try to get some info on the kiffin hate.

@tirk I've no clue where you're getting "all the assistants wanting Kiffin out."

As to his pay...he's getting 680K from UA in addition to the 3.X million he's still getting from USC. IF we see him next season, which I suspect he'll be offered a job in the off-season of 2016, he's set to make 714K from UA.

Geez, getting @3.5 million for a OC job in college football?

he still was the only assistant not to get a raise. some guy here was reporting kiffin has already worn down the other assistants with his antics and there was a meeting with saban. you'll hear about it in due time when kiffin is packing his bags midseason. or maybe i just despise him and am wishful thinking. i dont think he belongs in the sec.

Who are you confusing me with? I don't make a lot of predictions about Alabama or any other team not named LSU. I just don't follow other SEC teams closely enough, nor do they particularly intrigue me other than their games with LSU.

I dislike Kiffen because of his inflammatory remarks about other SEC teams when he was at Tennessee. I lost great deal of respect for him when he bolted out of Tennessee after so short a time. I'm sure he's an effective position coach, but he's bad news as a head coach and damn sure a yankee.

    Who?

I don't expect him to be in Tuscaloosa next season. If he is? No issues on my part.

Kirby Smart is a little pissed off about things last year...mainly due to Saban getting on him about the secondary while Kirby felt the offense was getting a break in their break-downs.

    Ego's and coaches...happens.
