Not sure ever......However, I have said before the absolute worst coaching job he EVER did in one game
was in New Orleans, the epitome of his stubborness to try ANYTHING that would work. When your QB can't get the team across midfield while playing for all the marbles, SOMETHING has to change!

I do, and have. I wore #7 during the Bert Jones era and, man, wasn't the QB position solid, pre-Miles, through the careers of the likes of Hodson, Howard, Tyler, Rohan, Mauck...

We're talking quality. To say Miles QB evaluation has been anything less than a piss-poor is laughable. Mister Miles does shit like go to Bama and offer people neither Bama nor Auburn want (Rivers) and lets Prescott leave cause Miles wanted to make him a TE.lmao

Before you throw out JaMarcus Russell and Matt Flynn, let me remind you they were here before Mister Miles. After them we went through a long list of disappointments til Mett.

Look, I can understand getting in the quandry we're in can happen...ONCE. Should not have happened again at a program of our magnitude.

Do you realize OF ALL the QB's Miles has signed, only 3 (Lee, Jefferson and Mettenberger) completed their careers at LSU as QB's?

Russell, 2006, deserves mentioning here. Geez, what was it? Right at a 70% completion rate and close to 30 TD's on the season as well while throwing for over 3100 yards? Hell, that's better numbers than Mett as I recall.

Sparicino was a backup during a stretch of much talent here (Howard and Tyler??) so not sure what you mean,
Have no idea who Daigle is and not looking.
Loup was two years after 4 with Hodson and followed by 4 with Howard, what's the point here????
Claussen's departure was because we were stacked and didn't hurt us.
Randal after Ro and followed by JR and MF, nothing to see here.

Are you really defending Miles when it comes to the QB position?

You're talking about glimpses in our history. I'm talking about an on-going problem with ONE coach- and it is a problem.

since Bert, I'd say the only top notch nfl prospect LSU QBs were ???? booty, russell, flynn, perrilloux and mett. not too many for nearly 40 yrs and flynn is a stretch. and miles has two of them.

tiga, i assume you're joking with your list. maybe you can argue for godson and davey, but howard and tyler?

I'm not sure how much credit Miles gets for Russell, but I guess the argument could be made either way. No matter how you dissect it, QB play has been dismal under Miles far more often than not.

Well, you are changing the subject and going off on a bit of a tangent. I was trying to make a point about how fucking shallow we are at QB and then Twisted goes off on some silly shit that we have nobody at QB and never have and now you are going off on Les' recruiting and Lee and Jefferson again. Geez. I know how you feel about Les by now.

The point I'm trying to make is that we are damn shallow even if Jennings plays and we are dangerously shallow if he remains suspended. I'm tired of crying about yesterday's recruiting. What are we going to do this season if Harris gets hurt? There are damn few options. But I'd like to explore them if you can get back on focus.
