We are talking about depth. If you imagine we have never had a quarterback, then you need to watch the games, too.
I'm as critical of the dysfunctional LSU QB situation as anybody, but Brandon Harris gets a pass for now. True freshmen QB's don't come into the SEC and play with any effectiveness or efficiency. Johnny and Jameis both won the Heisman Trophy as redshirt freshmen. Time for BH to quit farting around and show what he's got. He needs to learn enough of the playbook to do what Cam Cameron wants and do everything else required. Hopefully, the light will come on over the remainder of the summer and into fall camp. He'll be getting all the first team snaps since Jennings is suspended, so there should be no more excuses. No AJ for now and Etling has to sit out this season. He needs to take advantage of the situation and seize the opportunity. Shite or get off the pot! At this point, nobody knows if he will or wont and everybody is nervous/uncomfortable about the Season............
This weekend, Chris Blair is showing him around and getting him acquainted with the Georgia Southern campus before he permanently leaves for Baton Rouge to become the new LSU radio voice.. .......
No, you're correct we have had quality QB's, TWO SEASONS IN TEN FUCKING YEARS! How the hell can you have depth when you don't have a starter? Sounds like you need to start watching some games.
For a highly educated person you sure play stupid well. Other than one year with Flynn and one with Metteneburger Miles has done nothing to put a better than poor QB on the field as a starter. As far as legitimate back ups there is absolutely nothing to talk about NOTHING! There are maybe 5 people on the entire planet that see it differently.
Here is the thing. LSU has never been a team that relied on a QB to win the game for them and that pre-dates Les. I don't know if that means LSU just doesn't like superstar QB 's or if they don't like us or if it is somewhere in the middle. Whatever the case it would just be nice to see an uptick at the position because while we historically don't NEED them there are a few critical times that we do and they are never there.
Louisiana doesn't produce a ton of top tier QB's and LSU has always been a run first team which makes it hard to get quality QB's. However it's not impossible and more than one a decade isn't asking too much.
