Should have held out til Lakers made Kyle Kuzma part of the deal. Pels got draft picks and some barely warm bodies. https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/...ing-lonzo-ball-and-brandon-ingram-per-report/
nola.com indicates the Pels aren't done dealing yet. I'm betting Ball will never put on a Pel uniform. The picks are what make this trade. You now have the 1 and the 4, and there's lots of ways they can go with that second pick. Don't know what the other picks are, but from the way the trade is structured, Ramona Shelbourne of ESPN tweets "(the Pelicans) essentially have control of the Lakers draft for the next 7 years."
Davis is gonna have a hamstring issue and lebron is not young lebron so theres hope each passing year. I trust the Lakers management will still find a way to blow this. I can't stomach watching ball's ugly ass shot. He must be traded for simple aesthetics.
Lonzo is a good kid with room to become a serviceable role player but it's not worth it to put up with daddy Ball. Trade him and dump his salary.
Somebody in all the national conversation suggested Ball and Holiday would be the best defensive backcourt in the league.
Is Memphis or New York dead set on drafting Barrett? What would it take to get the Grizzlies to swap the #2 for the #4?
He was “only” making $9M I think. His market value exceeds that, so I can’t say I blame him. Hope we can resign him. He’ a good player.
Lets hope the Lakers season is a disaster for whatever reason. The Lakers 1st round pick next yeat that the Pelicans own is a protected pick if it falls within the top 8. If the Lakers make the playoffs the pick is wherever it falls but if they don't their pick will be determined by the draft lottery. The worse the Lakers are the more ping pong balls they get. Could the Pels be so lucky as to have next year's #1 too?
