Does anyone have a clip, a clue, a freaking guess as to why we did not see Deuce at all yesterday? I just got to take off work and I am searching the airwaves for an explanation on why 26 did not get a chance to convert on short distance carries? Did S.P. say anything about it? I mean if the guy has his helmet on, and his chin strap strapped...apparently he thinks he is going to see some action...but not once did he come onto the field. Not even to at least fool Denver. What is up???? I don't need anyone dissing me for second guessing our coach either...I am not...I just want to know the scoop. Thanks... ?
Payton didn't. And when Deuce got asked about it, he walked out of the media room. So something reeks of the fish here. Payton is doing a Joe Horn to Deuce right now imo.
Has to be I mean if his knee is that bad where he cant get one yard but can practice full time and dress out i dont get it but the moment anyone questions what Payton does hate words come their way. IMO he didn't deserve an extension yet because he continues to make calls that loses games for his players I know there are other factors that go into it but they dont excuse his bad decisions.And please dont give me he won a playoff game shh cause they barely won that game with him making stupid play calls in that game also. The way it seems as if they really didnt want to bring Deuce back but his image and he does so much for the community and etc they didnt want that black eye but they're still stabbing him in the back like they did Joe Horn who was Mr. Saint while he was here especially during Katrina.
I don't know about Deuce's personal proclivities, but eff Joe Horn. He ran off a hall of fame OT with his marital infidelity crap, and the upstanding Jim Haslett (who also cheats on his wife) stood by him. This may have something to do with money.
how do you figure? Does Tom Benson enjoy losing money? because that is all he is doing right now: losing the huge amount of $M's that he put into Deuce.
Wasn't Deuce's contract that he signed the largest ever by a RB at the time? Ouch. I like the guy and feel kind of bad for him. I don't know what the deal is but don't dress him if he isn't ready.
I agree. Either Deuce is more hurt than they are letting on or there is some stupidness going on here. Some of the people i was with last night believe that this is Peyton trying to prove that he can do it without Deuce. Not sure what it is, but its real disappointing.
He ran once for over 5 yards against Redskins I think and that was it. He doesn't have to shake and bake and make cuts and leaps. We just need him to run straight ahead for 1 friggin yard. It makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE. NONE.
